President Bush signed recently passed legislation mandating that DHS work with the private sector to develop data security standards. ISA is working with members on practical approaches to achieving effective results and partnering with ANSI on this project. ISA and ANSI are now meeting with senior DHS officials regularly to discuss implementation proposals.

The Senate Committee on Homeland Security received a briefing on critical infrastructure protection activities undertaken by industry from Internet Security Alliance President Larry Clinton on Thursday, 6/28/07.
