The CyLab Partnership

Carnegie Mellon Univeristy's CyLab is a bold and visionary effort to develop new technologies for measurable, available, secure, trustworthy and sustainable computing and communications systems. It is a university wide multidisciplinary initiative involving more than 200 Carnegie Mellon faculty and staff. It builds on over two decades of leadership in information technology and works closely with the CERT/cc and US-CERT, a partnership between the Department of Homeland Security’s National Cyber Security Division (NCSD) and the private sector.

ISAlliance provides the CyLab staff with an operational business grounding and outlet for their expertise. Member companies receive exclusive access to CyLab programs and services that are tailored to meet the company’s pragmatic operational business needs. This unique marriage of business, government and academic expertise is the cutting edge in collaborative partnerships that maximize programs through efficient sharing of knowledge and skills.

 


NEW in 2006 and 2007! 

Weekly web casts seminars, or webinars. Representing cutting edge content in delivery, this new service replaces monthly technical teleconferences for the members.

Information Security Deliverables Each quarter, the ISAlliance provides operational reports on Privacy Policy Trends, Software Assurance, and Insider Threats. In addition, scheduled for completion in the Spring of 2007, the ISAlliance will bring the System Quality Requirements Engineering (SQUARE) methodology and tool to its members.  

As of October 2006, the ISAlliance launched the Enterprise Integration Program, taking a multi-disciplinary approach to regulatory and compliance issues like Outsourcing, Breach Notification, Privacy to cut across the entire organization. The EIP improves business efficiences, cutting costs, while maintaining compliance in today's interrelated regulatory regimes.
