Department of Homeland Security
Members of the Internet Security Alliance have regular interaction with principals from the Department of Homeland Security.

ISAlliance Board member, Ty. R. Sagalow is seen here speaking with George Foresman, DHS Undersecretary for Preparedness and Kate Riley, Legislative Assistant to Representative Loretta Sanchez (D-CA) - member of the House Homeland Security Committee.

Shortly after taking office, newly appointed DHS Assistant Secretary for Cyber Security & Telecommunications, Greg Garcia, met with the Executive Board of the ISAlliance (below). DHS Asst. Secretary for Cyber Security & Telecommunications Greg Garcia

Asst Secretary Garcia, met with the Executive Board  to discuss his vision and request help from private industry in working with Congress and in  Information Security endeavors. This meeting also resulted in the ISAlliance drafting legislative language for an upcoming bill in critical infrastructure protection.

As the ISAlliance gives access to senior policy makers in Congress, the ISAlliance provides these opportunities to the members to foster relationships and collaborate on the shared responsibilities of cyber security

The ISAlliance also collaborates with DHS via other avenues and means. DHS has endorsed the Common Sense Guide to Cyber Security for Senior Managers and has posted the Common Sense Guide to Small Businesses on the Ready Business website.

The ISAlliance is also active in the National Infrastructure Protection Plan. DHS Assistant Secretary for Infrastructure Protection, Bob Stephan (below), has met with the board on several occasions as part of the ISAlliance efforts to submit language for the National Infrastructure Protection Plan and the IT Sector Specific Plan.
