JEFF SCHILLING

 

Jeff Schilling is presently the Director for the Incident Response Practice at Dell SecureWorks. The Incident Response Practice is prepared to support pre-incident planning/gap analysis, incident response and eradication/recovery for over 3,100 clients worldwide including twenty percent of the Fortune 500.

Colonel (Ret) Jeff Schilling was also the former Director of the Army’s Global Network Operations and Security Center (AGNOSC) under U.S. Army Cyber Command. While at the AGNOSC, COL Schilling was responsible for directing full spectrum cyber operations and the defense of the Army’s portion of the Global Information Grid (GIG) consisting of over 1.2 million users. The AGNOSC integrated key cyber functions spanning operations, intelligence, resource management, and strategic planning for the Army while leading DoD in many critical network security initiatives in the new Joint Information Environment.

COL (Ret) Schilling was also the Director of Global Network Operations/Security Center for, Joint Task Force Global Network Operations (JTF-GNO), Arlington.  JTF-GNO directed the operations and defense of the DoD Global Information Grid (GIG) ensuring the availability, integrity, and security of 7 million computer systems across 3500 posts/camps/stations.  As the Director of DoD’s Global Network Operations/Security Center, his organization guided the actions of 64 worldwide operations and security centers (6,000+ personnel) to deliver mission critical voice, video, and data services in support of DOD critical warfighting missions and operations.

COL (Ret) Schilling served in a various leadership positions within the communications and information security career field throughout his 24 year Army career to include assignments with United States Northern Command/North American, Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and deployments to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Haiti, and Afghanistan.

COL (Ret) Schilling holds a BS in Chemistry from Presbyterian College and a MA from Webster University in the Management of Information Systems Resources.  COL (Ret) Schilling also holds a MA in Strategic Studies from the Army War College.  COL (Ret) Schilling also holds the Computer Information Security Manager’s (CISM) certification.
