JULIE TAYLOR

Julie is a Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) Vice President for Operations, managing the Cyber Security Services and Solutions (CSSS) Operation, a profit and loss center with annual revenues that have exceeded $150M. The CSSS Operation, with over 400 technical personnel and numerous locations throughout the United States, is SAIC’s Leading Cyber Security Center of Excellence, providing full spectrum lifecycle cyber security service for Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, Federal Civil Departments and Agencies, State and Local Governments, and Commercial customers. CSSSO capabilities include security engineering, secure system architecture and design, certification and accreditation, evaluation laboratories (Common Criteria, FIPS, SCAP), managed security services/security operations, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, incident response, digital forensics, information assurance education and training, electronic key management systems/key management infrastructure, cyber intelligence preparation of the environment, and national security/emergency preparedness. Employed at SAIC since 2002, Julie has also served as a successful Division Manager, Program Manager, and Technical Lead for programs in the Cyber Security/Information Assurance discipline.

From 1999-2002, Julie served as the Director of Product Management & Strategy for Mentor Technologies where she conceptualized, implemented, and supported product management lifecycle to include: product definition, market research, product road-map strategy, marketplace positioning, product introduction and roll-out, revenue, and profit generation for Mentor’s product lines. She also developed, implemented, and directed senior level integrated marketing projects across multiple lines of business and functional areas.

From 1995-1999, Julie served as the Senior Strategic Development Manager for Nichols Research. In that capacity, she created an integrated marketing department focused on strategic and tactical marketing in the Information Security and IT professional services market. She was instrumental in introducing and incorporating the marketing mix into the Nichols corporate culture and was also responsible for managing business-to-business strategic planning, product development, advertising and marketing campaigns, Internet marketing, channel marketing, and public relations.

From 1990-1995, Julie served in multiple technical capacities for the Department of Defense.

Julie holds a Masters of Science in Strategic Management and Marketing from The University of Maryland and duel Bachelors Degrees in Spanish Language & Literature and Intercultural Studies from Westminster College. Julie also attends The Executive Program (TEP) at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
