THOMAS QUINN
Thomas Quinn is Managing Director and Chief Information Security Officer for BNY Mellon and is responsible for the strategy, design and execution of the Information Security program. He is also responsible for the Identity and Access Management program. Tom is on the Board of the Advanced Cyber Security Center (ACSC); a New England based consortium providing leadership and research across academia, industry and government for advanced cyber threats.
Tom has over 16 years of experience in the area of Technology, Systems Management, and Information Security in the Financial Services Industry and Defense sector. Previously, Tom was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer for State Street Corporation. Tom has also managed both the Infrastructure Security and the Application Security teams at Goldman Sachs. He has an extensive background advising start-up and venture financed companies commercializing next generation Security products. Current areas of focus are in the use of metrics to manage technology risk and the use of Cloud Technology to improve Information Security.
Tom holds a BA in Political Science from Old Dominion University and an MS in Information Technology Management from US Naval Postgraduate School. He is also a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
